Confidence is a key quality to cultivate and can be a catalyst towards success for any girl. It leaves a lasting impression on people when networking and also creates a positive receptive vibe. Here are some ways that can build one’s confidence:
i) Identifying Your Insecurities
Because of our natural imperfect nature, each one of us has flaws and these flaws can be a source of our insecurities. The truth is every lady has insecurities no matter how ideal or “perfect” one may be; yes, even our own role models have insecurities. The best way to build your esteem is to boldly identify your own insecurities whether it is your weight, or your character flaws such as pessimism-it’s good to face reality and know what bothers you.
ii) Embracing Your Imperfect Self
While it is idealistic to want to be “perfect”, perfection does not exist; well, at least not amongst mankind. Thus if a girl feels she is inadequate because of her flaws that can kill her confidence. The best thing you can do for yourself is to change what you can about yourself i.e. if you feel you are overweight, work towards being healthier by exercising, eat right, be consistent in taking good care of your body; if you don’t like your image or style, find a style that suits you, and one that you can afford. What’s important is doing whatever it takes within your means to look your best that will certainly boost your confidence.
iii) Positive Attitude
Always try to look at the half full glass instead of half empty, or count your blessings. Yes, we live in a world filled with so much uncertainty, and oftentimes we wish we had more or achieved more but that can lead to negativity. Of course we want to aspire to be better but on that road, we should always remember the good things we have and be grateful because other people have it worse. A positive spirit can help you realize how fortunate you are and boost your morale and self-esteem.
iv) Find A Motivational Mantra
As much as we would always love to be cheerful, we are human and because life happens, sadness is inevitable. That said, one way to deal with any sort of misery or down moment is to pick a favorite quote or motivational line, then each time we get feel under the weather, we can repeat it to ourselves quietly.
v) Surround yourself with Vibrancy
Our environment and association can often have an effect on our attitude. If we surround ourselves with uplifting positive friends that can directly/indirectly uplift our spirit and on the other hand if we surround ourselves with negativity and depressing people and gloomy environments, that too can suppress our spirit and drain our confidence.
