essentially grooming and taking care of your fingernails and toenails, to make them look both appealing and clean. This is an essential for every single girl and contributes towards your entire image. Now we all love a good manicure and pedicure but can not always afford to go have a professional one since they can be a little pricey!!However this doesn’t mean we can’t have decent looking nails, here are some of our home remedy tips to healthy glamorous nails.
i) Olive Oil it is imperative to keep your nails moisturized just as it is for any other part of your body such as your hair and skin. To lock in the moisture and nourish your nails and the skin around your nails take a teaspoon of olive oil and a piece of cotton wool, dab the cotton wool in the olive oil and then spread a reasonable amount on each fingernail and toenail and let it penetrate for about 20minutes before using your fingers or nails. Olive oil is also a good source of vitamin E, which is great for nails.
ii) Coconut Oil is a great ingredient for nail growth; it strengthens cuticles and is a remedy for cuticle infections and fungal nails. What to do is after thoroughly washing and drying your hands & feet, massage them in circular motion with drops of organic coconut oil on every night before bed. Also mix a ¼ cup of organic coconut oil with a ¼ cup of organic honey in a bowl and warm it for about 20seconds, then soak your fingertips and toe tips each hand and foot for 15minutes at least once a week.
ii) Orange Juice is a good source of collagen and folic acid for nail growth and nourishment. What to do is soak your fingernails and toenails in a cup of fresh orange juice for about 10-15minutes, then rinse them with warm water , dry them and apply moisturizer afterwards.
