Have a niche in dancing or creativity? Wait what if you could make money out of your passion? Tough question right? Talent is anything we are comfortable and best in doing most of times, hey it maybe little or less than nothing to you but out here in the market its needed, I heard some people say they don’t know there talent yet, well no problem talent is more of a hobby whatever you like doing or enjoy most of times, maybe singing, creativity, technology, sewing or even dancing that can be your ticket to getting that cash. Talent is different from skill talent is naturally acquired
Discover yourself; first discover who you are and what you have, which activities are easy for you to do that you can lost track of time doing them, what do you read about the most, talk about or even stalk , things you’re so good at that other people tell you or ask you to teach them. Just like asking the math genius in class to help you solve the equation. That is how you get to know the better you.
Assignment; Take a pen and paper and fill out these questions to guide you in discovering your abilities. What are your main activities outside work? If you were to quit your job and follow your passion what would it be? What do you enjoy doing most times? What activities don’t you need help with? If you can answer these questions then you know what your talent is...
Turning passions into income; Now that you know your special abilities, do you think you can turn them into money? I say yes we can!! How? Let’s see how, a famous actor once said my success is 0% talent and100% skill, by hard work, less hours of sleep, sacrifice and commitment. Talent brought the platform for business but skill kept me in business, it’s not enough to just have a talent, hard work is needed to keep the cash flowing
Choose what your best at; It’s possible to have more than one talent or passion in your life, some people can do almost all , but when the decision of turning them into money, you must choose the one your 100% competent with you may ask yourself, “Should I allocate my resource of time to work on talents I already have in order to turn them into strengths, or should I use my resource of time on something that is not a natural talent?” If you choose the latter, it is highly likely you will spend a lot of time on a talent that drains your energy, becoming “average” at best at this talent. However, if you decide to put your time into a talent you already possess, one that gives you energy, you will likely be able to turn this talent into a strength.
